What is "Tiempo de Flores"?

How does a person see their surroundings? What would you think if in your childhood, happy and surrounded by your family life, you are suddenly confronted with the death of your beloved father? Questions without answers, a sensation of abandonment, desperation, memories, inability to understand what has happened, how others will treat you… We see the scene from the moment of the father's death, pain, rage, impotence, sadness, melancholy, which incredibly endure until the pleasant sensation of seeing him within them.

Intervening elements:

Music, dance, acting and lighting are the real factors that will continuously provide the information all together.

Original music composed by Andreas María Germek, based on flamenco, without hesitating in the use of classical and ethnic music resources, but always faithful to the needs of the work. The guitar, cellos, voice, percussion and castanets all appear in the right balance.

The choreography is based on the different techniques used up to now by the dancer, from classical dance, Spanish dance and flamenco to contemporary dance. This combination enables the artist to render the theme in a highly personal manner.

Everything I have learnt is merged in the maturity that I am reaching. Classical ballet, contemporary Spanish dance, flamenco, music, the scene… but there is something that captivates me: the castanets get to where the feet, expression and movement cannot. They speak and make me speak. I take this instrument full of tradition, moving it out of its traditional environment to display it in all its power and enrich language and expression. They are alive. I am seduced by the magic of the stage. To feel moved and to move others is my goal.
